Memoir, of an expedition to Grand Island in December 1819 to remove trespassers, 1869 / communicated to the Buffalo Historical Society by Nathaniel Wilgus.

Describes the military expedition ordered by Gov. DeWitt Clinton and led by Col. James Cronk, to remove trespassers from Grand Island, which had been declared part of the United States by the Boundary Commission in 1818. Wilgus mentions that one of the trespassers was [Samuel] Denniston, who offered Cronk a half share in his perpetual motion machine if allowed to remain on the island.
